M. Marie Flowers



Singer/Songwriter and Music Educator with over 25 years of teaching and performing experience - Ms. Flowers has served as Director of Participating Schools for The Debose Foundation Fine Arts Festival for several years. Previously, Ms. Flowers was Director of Choral Activities and an assistant professor (voice) at Knoxville College (Tennessee). In addition to being a vocal soloist , she has also served as the Gospel and Blues services director/musician/songwriter at the Unitarian Church of Baton Rouge for over 15 years. She has performed at the Swine Palace (Blues Singer in Vieux Carré) and she continues to work in film and theatre around the Baton Rouge area. Ms. Flowers is also a private music teacher and she continues her Arts advocacy passion as a Talented Music and Theater Evaluator for State of Louisiana and as a Teaching Artist for The Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge. She has 3 beautiful children: AȈda , Seynabou, and Rui-James.
